I can fight a hundred men until my arms fall off.
I can run a thousand miles and not even think to stop.
I can burn a city or two down with a single match.
I can construct a net so big you'd have the moon to catch.
But I can't get her to see that she is beautiful.
When I tell her, she replies that I am full of bull.
I can write a book about the way she pleases me, but it won't work. She will never see her how I see.
I can write a million letters to my congressman.
I can drain all of lake superior with a ramekin.
I can find a needle hiding in a sea of hay.
I can make a ninety story building out of clay.
But I can't get her to see that she is wonderful.
When I tell her, she replies that I am full of bull.
I can sing a song about her to her lovely face but it won't work. The good I say will instantly erase.
I can eat the entire contents of a garbage can.
I can convince Italy the Pope's an evil man.
I can cut a sequoia tree down with a butter knife.
I can make your favorite childhood pet come back to life.
But I can't get her to see the way I love her so.
When I tell her, she replies that I am full of bull.
I can send a daily dozen roses to her door, but it won't work. Everything I say and do she will ignore.
